There is only one person who can give our big beautiful Mr. BoBo a Lion Cut and that is Yvette. He is very nervous but once in her hands he is fine and looks and feels wonderful after his grooming.

After years of loyalty and giving Yvette numerous referrals, my husband and I are in disbelief at the lack of value she recently showed for our business. I have been bringing my Golden Doodle to her religiously every 6-10 weeks for 4 years (since he was a brand new pup) paying $85+ a pop each visit. For anyone who knows a thing or two about Doodles... they have very high maintenance coats which will mat when not groomed on a very regular basis and since my doodle will not allow us to properly brush him, my husband and I have paid a fortune in salon bills over the years doing everything we could to keep him comfortable and looking good. I often joked with my friends that I spent more money on my dogs hair than I do on my own. Needless to say... I would like to think our business was highly valued. Last weekend I was faced with a personal circumstance which completely threw me off my feet and caused me to miss my long awaited appt for the first time ever. This has never happened before... in fact, we have never even cancelled on her. The next day, after realizing what I did... I called apologizing profusely. I felt awful. Being in customer service for a very long time myself... I guess I was expecting a certain reaction from her however she did NOT offer the same level of customer service I offer my clients by any means. Yvette was completely unsympathetic, did not ask what happened and quite frankly sounded like she couldn't care less. She said if we want to come back we would have to pay for that appt in full, no exceptions and that she could not get us back in for 10 weeks. Now, I can completely understand having a policy like this in place to prevent people from standing her up and I understand that it is not ideal for her to have no shows whatsoever however due to our long term loyalty and considering this was the first ever offence, I would think she would be more understanding and offer a one time exception but no... she said (In her very condescending way) that she has to treat everyone the same and that is that. I was shocked. I would even have understood a fee of some sort which I suggested however she declined. Are you kidding me? Unreal. In addition to that, since she stopped taking new clients... I have found her prices to be constantly increasing, you have to book months in advance (I often booked two at once) her attitude to be very impersonal and her work very inconsistent. I also found myself frequently showing up to a a very chaotic environment with 2 dogs at times on the go... barking dogs in crates and MY dog also locked in a crate when he used to be free until i picked him up (one of the things that I enjoyed about her at one time). She also doesn't do glands or offer a scarf for your dog the way many groomers do. Over the last year or so, it was becoming more and more obvious to me that she was taking on too much to continue the high level of service I had come to expect from Yvette or perhaps she has somehow become so busy that she no longer cares BUT I kept going back because my dog seemed to like it there and I don't like change. Needless to say, a quick review could not possibly express my disappointment and this experience over the missed appt really just took the cake. You are welcome for years of business, loyalty, numerous referrals and the good word we spread about your work over the years Yvette. We will definitely be taking our loyalty, beautiful dog and hard earned money to a groomer who values us a little or LOT more.

There are not many Gordon Setters in Fredericton and to find one person who knows so much about grooming a setter is wonderful. Thank you he looks handsome each time I pick him up.2018 update- Very busy grooming business and have to book months in advance. Today I had to cancel with less than 24 hrs notice and was advised of a $25 charge next time I bring him in.

I have been taking my Shi tzu to Yvette since last year and I have to say that I am very pleased with the service and loving attention that Yvette shows my dog. It is a pleasant experience each time I go and I would highly recommend her. Her shop is clean and easy to access and her rates are certainly comparable with other dog groomers. I am very comfortable with leaving my dog in her care.
